The New Draft Code and Software Copyright
The Study summarizes the new regulations covering computer programmes in Law on Intellectual and Artistic Works. It is indicated that the discussion on “whether computer programmes are considered as artistic works/or not?” has ended and they are now protected under copyright law. The Study further explains the “Legal Protection Regime” of computer programmes regulated in the new Code under main headings. Moreover, outcomes of the fact that copies of computer programmes released to market are not marked; the legal outcomes and criminal sanctions of unlawful copying activities, are emphasized.
