Copyright in the USA

The Study begins by explaining that IP rights are protected under a Code dated 1976 in the USA and computer programmes are also covered under the stated Code with the amendments made in 1980; moreover, some specific computer programmes are protected under Chip Law. It is indicated that such second base protection is a hybrid one benefiting from copyright and patent protection. The Article also indicates the process of USA.’s membership to the Berne Convention in March 1989 and adaptation USA’s legislation in accordance with this Convention.
